Only a handful of riders spend their entire careers on one team. Hoffman Bikes has had the privilege of having several. One of these riders is Hoffman Bikes German rider Achim Kujawski.
Achim started riding for Hoffman bikes in 1993 and continued until he stopped competing on a professional level in 2007. Achim dedicated nearly 15 years to Hoffman Bikes and there are no words to express how much we appreciate Achim and for all he has done and still does to promote and grow Hoffman Bikes in Germany.
We recently caught up with Achim to ask him a few questions about his time on Hoffman Bikes.
What stands out to you as innovations from Hoffman Bikes and Mat Hoffman?
Mat and his riding was a huge inspiration for our generation. He made the impossible possible. He always pushed the limits and motivated us to do the same, taking our riding to the next level. Head First was and still is my favorite video of all times. When it comes to product innovation – The Superfork comes to my mind first. Also Hoffman Bikes was one of the first rider-owned companies to produce BMX parts in Taiwan and helped to develop and educate the manufacturers about BMX.
Any stories you’d like to share?
To many – riding for Hoffman Bikes had always been riding for Mat – it was an honor to be part of the Hoffman Bikes family. So many great memories of trips, demos, comps that we did together – spending time and travel the world with some of the raddest people I ever met. Places I would have never been without Mat and his crew! Can’t thank enough for making all that a reality!
