Action and extreme sports have their roots in Rhode Island with the inaugural X-Games held in Newport in the summer of 1995.
Rhode Island native and 4x BMX X-Games gold medal winner & world record holder Kevin ‘K-Rob’ Robinson is coming out of his 2013 retirement to break another BMX world record right here in Providence. August 13. Kennedy Plaza. Kevin Robinson will FLIP PROVIDENCE. 100 ft No Handed Backflip ramp-to-ramp.
We need EVERYONE to help bring this amazing event to Providence. ESPN is committed, now we need the local commitment. Your contribution will go toward putting on a spectacular event that the entire Rhode Island community can be involved in. We intend on setting up an interactive village featuring demonstrations, live music, and entertainment. Your funds will directly go to the behind the scenes costs involved in the production of the event. Let’s do this together!
For your support you will receive up close and/or VIP access to the whole event, including the ‘K-Rob Motivation Village’ with exclusive vendors, food, and beer garden (ID required). Event is from 6pm-midnight with the world record attempt jump at 11:30pm.
